Don Bosco High School & Junior College, Oros, celebrated Teachers’ Day on 5 September 2026 with great enthusiasm, gratitude and joy, honouring the dedicated teachers who tirelessly nurture, guide and inspire young minds.
The celebration was thoughtfully planned and coordinated by the Vice-Principal, Rev. Fr Ronald Vaz, in collaboration with the School Parliament of the School and Junior College Sections. The excitement surrounding the celebration was evident well before the actual day, as the student leaders and members of the school and junior college worked enthusiastically behind the scenes. The corridors and various corners of the campus came alive with preparations as the students put their creativity and teamwork into action to make the occasion memorable for their teachers.
The day began on a colourful and cheerful note as the teachers arrived on campus dressed according to the suggested Bollywood theme. The vibrant attire added a special touch to the celebration and created an atmosphere of fun and camaraderie.
The School Parliament had arranged a series of entertaining games for the teachers, providing them with an opportunity to relax, laugh and enjoy themselves beyond the usual classroom routine. The teachers were then served snacks in the AV Hall, where the atmosphere was filled with excitement and anticipation for the stage programme that followed.
The stage programme was a heartfelt expression of the students’ love and gratitude towards their teachers. Through a variety of meaningful performances, dances and a well-prepared skit, the students conveyed their appreciation for the countless ways in which their teachers accompany them in their journey of learning and growth. The compering, skit, address and dance performances reflected the students’ careful preparation, creativity and sincere efforts.
The celebration was not merely an entertainment programme but a beautiful expression of gratitude. Every performance carried a message of appreciation for the teachers who go beyond textbooks and examinations to shape character, encourage dreams and help students discover their potential.
At the conclusion of the stage programme, the Principal, Rev. Fr Melwin Ferrao, expressed his heartfelt gratitude to Rev. Fr Ronald Vaz, the School Parliament and all the students for their initiative, teamwork and dedication in organising such a memorable Teachers’ Day celebration. He appreciated the efforts of the students in making the day special for the entire teaching staff.
